Threadwell Corporation
The Threadwell Corporation was a manufacturer of ground thread taps, Stillson wrenches, mitre boxes, and hacksaw frames. It was formed in 1925 and was a merger of the American Tap & Die company (owned by Walter Nichols), and the Williamsburg Manufacturing Company. Threadwell went out of business in 1930, but reformed in 1934 as the Threadwell Tap & Die Corporation with a new rethreading tool. They continued production through the war and were sold to the Sheffield Corporation of Ohio in 1946.
